Heim Joint Tie Rods – 5/8 Hole

These heavy duty rod ends are a perfect upgrade when your rules allow them due to their superior strength over traditional tie rod ends.Our rod ends are completely self-sealing and self-lubricating because of their Nylon/PTFE injection molded race that keeps dirt and debris out. The ball is made of 52100 bearing steel that has been heat treated, hard chrome plated and precision ground.  This design provides metal to metal support for heavy shock loads and increased cross-sectional thickness for greater tensile strength. Since our tie rods are made of solid stock they will bend instead of kinking like a hollow tube can.  This allows for the tie rod to still function and get you to the finish in the event of damage.We make tie rods for most popular cars in standard lengths and custom lengths to fit your needs.  Please note if you are running aftermarket spindles or spindles swapped from a different make of car, your tie rod length may change.  Tie rods are machined with a ¾-16 thread
