Cool, I like this. It works great for both close ups with the macro or the wide angle for full person shots. It did work with the auto focus but I do prefer manuals as I’m really doing videos and not stills. I think it would be good for a picture of, say like a drummer sitting behind a set or a person playing a steel guitar, sitting down with an instrument in front of them. I am using this with a D5200. When I opened the box I could tell with a quick inspection that it was well worth the money. I started to play with it. I put it on my 18 to 55 mm lens and found with focus on the subject, the background was fuzzy. That was just what I wanted. I’ve not yet concluded the macro side but I do think that in order to take photos of tiny things one needs some type of diffused lamp that illuminates the subject. I did not really buy this for the macro but it really stirs up my creativity. This is not an answer to all, but I immediately thought there is no way this will be returned! It’s a keeper.Now I have had a little experience with this I do find one drawback. It is in the weight. If I have it on a zoom lens I need to be very careful when Zooming as the weight will cause a drag on the zoom. This is not a deal breaker. But just a point to consider. I believe the lens chassis is milled from aluminum but the lenses are made from glass. So I could think of no way to lesson the weight. I would not leave the unit attached to the cameras lens for transport. I wouls not use this on my camera if I was taking pictures from a car of such. On a tripod it works well.
