It’s $65 bucks for an excellent CPU. Quad Core, 3.7 GHz. There are a few things I should note:This doesn’t come with Integrated Graphics. YOU MUST BUY DESCRETE GRAPHICS.Don’t overdo your GPU, a RX 460 or GTX 950 is definitively enough, a GTX 10 series or RX 480 is overkill, and I’d even steer clear of a GTX 960, which I’m currently bottlenecking this.If you’re going to do CPU intensive stuff (CS:GO, Video Encoding, etc.) you may want to consiter something more beefy. Toms Hardware recommends anAMD Fx Processor 3.8 FD8300WMHKBOXor anIntel 3.70 GHz Core i3-6100 3M Cache Processor (BX80662I36100)at the $125 bracket. Also, this CPU is pretty much the most powerful thing for the FM2 MoBo socket save the 880K, and with the Zen CPUs coming out on AM4, you’ll need a new Motherboard to upgrade. I’d advise waiting for Zen or getting a Pentium G4400/i3-6100 if you care about upgradability. Finally, this runs HOT. It’s AMD, so what did I expect? With the stock cooler, this easily reaches 70 C at load. It shouldn’t be too bad unless your case is tiny or poorly ventilated, but if you want your case to say cool invest in a Aftermarket Cooler. I hear theCooler Master Hyper 212 EVO – CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan (RR-212E-20PK-R2)is good but is tall.Anyway, the CPU suits my needs, and though I should’ve bought something better, I can’t say this js a bad choice if you’re on a budget.
