AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200 2.7GHz 2x512KB Socket AM2 Dual-Core CPU

I tend to keep my computers longer than most. I used this chip to update an old gamer machine from a bottom-of-the-line processor to one that was close to the best that my board supports. I’m running 64-bit Linux that has been optimized for AMD and it works fine. I’m not a gamer and I can’t comment on its performance in that venue, but it works well in an 8-year-old machine for regular business and Internet functions. Actually, I’m using it right now and its been in service for me for over a year. What else do I need to say?
